I have never been a person that had knick knacks and doilies on every surface in my house. Yet as the years went on, I started to feel overwhelmed and I noticed most of the contention with my girls and my husband had to do with “their stuff”. I also observed how much of our precious time was swallowed up in the general maintenance of our “stuff”. After watching a documentary on Netflix about a minimalistic lifestyle, I literally was taking pictures off my wall and selling them. I was loving the new lightened feeling of our home. Then, in April of 2017, my husband and I went with doTERRA to Nepal. I stood staring at the Himalayan Mountains pondering the question, “Why, when we have so much does it seem like we’re never truly happy? Yet the people of Nepal, who have so little, joy radiated from them.” These experiences and the thought process to answer that question led to the journey we’re currently on.
